Why Sponsor? 

 

The DC Service Jam is an entirely volunteer run event. We seek sponsorship support to help us host the event, feed our guests and ensure that participants have the opportunity to practice design in a welcoming, fun environment. Your contributions will support community building among design enthusiasts and provide participants with a rewarding learning experience.

 

As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to show Washington, DC and the world that you support innovation, collaboration and design thinking. Last year, there were some 120 jams around the globe who participated, with around 3,000 jammers. The jam is the world’s biggest service design/design thinking event and has been recognized by the prestigious Core 77 Design Awards. 

 

Your contibutions will provide snacks and drinks to keep Jammers happy, supplies and materials like Sharpies, post-its, craft matrials and more, plus prizes and gifts to reward jammers for their hard work and commemorate their experience.

 

Sponsors will receive prominent features on our website, social media shout outs and depending on how involved you’d like to be, the chance to promote at our event.

Why Volunteer?

 

It takes a village to make the Jam happen: volunteers are critical to the equation. Have something to offer? Here's what we're looking for:  

 

• Coaches guide participants through key activities like interviewing users, making sense of their findings, and prototyping services. 

• Photographers and videographers help us document the Jam.

• Social media gurus help us share it with the world.

• Graphic facilitators help us to visualize the Jam experience in real time and capture key themes to share with the world later.
